Скульптура «Мальчик и Дракон»

Монументально – декоративная скульптура. Композиция изображает мальчика, поддерживающего мифологическое существо. Ее автор –Заслуженный работник культуры Республики Калмыкия Петр Джиевич Тазаев. Идеи и образы талантливый художник черпает из калмыцких легенд, сказок и поговорок. У калмыков есть поверье – дракон, спустившись на землю, не смог подняться ввысь. Гремел гром, сверкали молнии, людям грозили разрушения. Смелый ойратский мальчик помог дракону вновь подняться в небо и спасти землю и свой народ.

Sculpture "Boy and Dragon"

Monumental decorative sculpture. The composition depicts a boy supporting a mythological creature. Its author is Petr Dzhievich Tazaev, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kalmykia. The talented artist draws ideas and images from Kalmyk legends, fairy tales and sayings. The Kalmyks have a belief that the dragon, having descended to the ground, could not rise up. Thunder roared, lightning flashed, people were threatened with destruction. The brave Oirat boy helped the dragon ascend to the sky again and save the earth and his people.
