Мемориал «Исход и возвращение»

Памятник жертвам сталинских репрессий, созданный выдающимся скульптором современности, отлит из бронзы в Нью-Йорке. 

Расположен в восточной стороне города на кургане, внутри которого, как подразумевается, сокрыты все тайны и вся память Вселенной. Исход – на Восток, приход с Востока – Возвращение. К кургану подходит «железная дорога» - дорога скорби, которая продолжается спиралевидной дорогой к монументу.

Главная идея – синтез прошлого и настоящего, отражение духа калмыцкого народа, достойного уважения и восхищения. Чудовищная железная социальная и технологическая машина пытается уничтожить все живое, веру, культуру, втягивая в себя людей, но Великий дух дает возможность проломить стену системы и вернуться на родную землю.

Здесь можно увидеть множество образов, символов, в том числе и буддийские метафоры автора. Плачущая овечка – символ терпеливости народа, она плачет над поверженным ребенком; мечи, штыки – символы насилия, уничтожения, Авалокитешвара, сострадающий народу; табун лошадей – символ бега Времени, бесконечного движения в будущее, в Вечность. Человек, как бы втянутый машиной; птица, обернувшаяся в металл; лошадиный череп; три следа – мужской, женский, детский – символы уходящей семьи, встречаемой предками (реинкарнация); лотос, отрезанный дьявольским мечом, в лотосе зародыш – спящий ребенок; вокруг Будды – пантеон злых духов, мистических животных. Голова Будды – символ вечности. Далее – Возвращение – прорыв сквозь стену, сквозь металл обратно, на свою землю. Над головой – Кентавр как единство человека и природы. Расцветший лотос, буддийский знак вечного круговорота (свастика); очищающий огонь. Над ним лев и змея – победители. Табун лошадей, несущийся по родным просторам; знак вечности, вечного движения (колесо). В своем движении оно захватывает всех птиц, рыб, слона и летящую корову – символ калмыцкого воинства. Огромная лошадь олицетворяет собой природную силу движения. Череп под копытами – это прошлое, из которого вырастают живые цветы настоящего и будущего. В центре вращения вечного колеса движения спит эмбрион. Из яйца выходят две маленькие ладошки в форме лотоса.

Под памятником заложена капсула с землей из сибирских городов, привезенной участниками «Поезда памяти».

Memorial "Exodus and Return"

The monument to the victims of Stalinist repression, created by an outstanding contemporary sculptor, was cast in bronze in New York.

It is located on the eastern side of the city on a mound, inside which, as implied, all the secrets and all the memory of the Universe are hidden. Exodus - to the East, coming from the East - Return. A "railway" approaches the mound - the road of sorrow, which continues with a spiral road to the monument.

The main idea is a synthesis of the past and the present, a reflection of the spirit of the Kalmyk people, worthy of respect and admiration. A monstrous iron social and technological machine tries to destroy all living things, faith, culture, drawing people into itself, but the Great Spirit makes it possible to break through the wall of the system and return to their native land.

Here you can see many images, symbols, including the author's Buddhist metaphors. The crying lamb is a symbol of the patience of the people, she cries over the defeated child; swords, bayonets - symbols of violence, destruction, Avalokiteshvara, compassionate to the people; a herd of horses is a symbol of the running of Time, endless movement into the future, into Eternity. A man, as if drawn in by a machine; a bird wrapped in metal; equine skull; three footprints - male, female, child - symbols of the departing family, met by the ancestors (reincarnation); the lotus cut off by the devil's sword, in the lotus the embryo is a sleeping child; around Buddha there is a pantheon of evil spirits, mystical animals. The head of the Buddha is a symbol of eternity. Next - Return - a breakthrough through the wall, through the metal back to your own land. Above the head is the Centaur as the unity of man and nature. Blooming lotus, Buddhist sign of the eternal cycle (swastika); cleansing fire. Above him, the lion and the snake are victors. A herd of horses rushing through their native spaces; sign of eternity, perpetual motion (wheel). In its movement, it captures all birds, fish, elephants and a flying cow - a symbol of the Kalmyk army. The huge horse represents the natural power of movement. The skull under the hooves is the past from which fresh flowers of the present and future grow. In the center of rotation of the eternal wheel of motion, the embryo sleeps. Two small lotus-shaped palms emerge from the egg.

A capsule with earth from Siberian cities brought by the participants of the "Train of Memory" was laid under the monument.
